- Exploration constitutes a high risk activity given the apparent random of minerals occurrences and uncertainties in locating minerals. Exploration success depends on use of latest technology to generate data.
- The basic need of India today as regards mineral is Lithium, which occurs in pure form and despite vastness of our country encompassing Himalayan region as well, this mineral has not been located, although Afghanistan & China reportedly have adequate resources.
- The basic idea of allotment of mineral blocks should the based on granting priority to the exploration company.
- A vast area of our country is yet to be explored for Coal, Lignite and shale gas. priority is to be given to coking coal exploration.
